HOW TO UTILIZE OUR OUTSOURCED C-SUITE SERVICES

CFO SERVICES

Outsourced Chief Financial Officers are business experts who provide temporary, part-time financial expertise on an as-needed basis. Outsourced CFOs help companies strategize ways to overcome fiscal problems or challenges, just as a full-time company CFO might do. And FVC’s outside CFOs offer experienced guidance on an array of costly and compliance-mandated issues facing companies in practically all industries.

Outsourced CFO services are the same ones that are covered by many larger companies’ permanent, in-house CFOs. Some of these services include analyzing current and projected financial aspects of a company; preparing a company for a possible M&A event, an audit or a round of capital investment; ensuring compliance and regulatory obligations are being met; and generally doing whatever is needed to help a company save money now or in the future.

Outsourced CFOs work to strengthen an organization’s financial structure, repair any problems with it and ensure that it remains strong in the future. They analyze cash flow and capital structure, and outsourced CFOs ensure financial reporting is timely, compliant and accurate. They work with all stages of a company’s budgeting process, too. And FVC’s outsourced CFOs also are well-versed in guiding companies facing audits of all kinds. They also ensure that financials are in order and comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Our CFO advisory services can benefit mature operations and start-ups equally by ensuring all fiscal matters are addressed and are compliant with the latest list of laws and requirements affecting the hemp and cannabis industries. Our CFO advisory services include guidance on cash flow, low margins and high expenses. Full Velocity partners with your company to help it overcome financial challenges, achieve growth, optimize strategy, implement systems and raise capital.

An outside CFO provides a company financial expertise without the typical cost of salary, benefits and bonuses that might be paid to a full-term employee. And CFOs from outside of companies provide objective, uniquely tailored services to fit any organization’s specific needs, fiscal challenges and long-term goals. Full Velocity Consulting has more than 12 decades of combined experience to help new and even longtime businesses improve their organizations to maximize profitability and ensure future growth.

The CFO services offered by Full Velocity Consulting can benefit companies of all kinds and sizes, but they are particularly beneficial to small companies that are facing financial challenges without the needed manpower and expertise provided by seasoned, full-time CFOs. Full Velocity Consulting’s outside CFO experts address all financial issues facing a company, including particular issues germane to all small businesses: cash flow, low margins and high expenses. And CFO services can prove to be particularly important to small businesses facing the expensive rigors of regulatory audits.

Yes, in addition to outside CFO services, we provide controller and bookkeeper services for companies that do not need CFO services or need help in addition to or instead of high-level CFO strategic help.

CCO SERVICES

Full Velocity Consulting’s Chief Compliance Officer (“CCO”) services are temporary, on-demand services designed to ensure that companies are meeting their compliance obligations in all aspects of their business. Our outsourced Chief Compliance Officers also work to make sure that companies and their employees are complying with internal policies and procedures, too.

Our CCO services are led by compliance experts who are knowledgeable in a variety of regulatory regimes, including new regulations and laws relating to hemp/CBD and marijuana businesses. FVC professionals can provide compliance guidance for all stages of the business cycle, and our CCO services include all aspects of needed regulatory guidance and adherence.

Compliance issues can make or break any company in any marketplace. Full Velocity Consulting experts—many of whom have successfully created, expanded and sold their own businesses—know well how to navigate complex regulatory demands for a host of businesses and industries. FVC outsourced CCOs expertly guide companies in all aspects of compliance matters, as well as C-Suite services, business structure, finance and more.

Regulatory compliance is an overarching concept that defines an organization’s adherence to all laws and government regulations, as well industry-specific rules. Compliance violations at all levels (federal, state and local) can delay business operations significantly and bring often-substantial monetary fines.

Regulatory Compliance efforts are broad and include monitoring and evaluating the state of compliance at a company. It also involves managing investigations into possible wrongdoing involving legal and regulatory topics, and it is responsible for creating, communicating and training on companies’ policies and procedures.

A program or compliance person is your safety net. Compliance tries to make sure that you are not violating the law or providing customers with bad products. Compliance tries to prevent you from getting in trouble with regulators, or customers, or other third parties. A compliance program does not generate revenue, but instead seeks to prevent losses.

Today’s cannabis market – which includes both hemp/CBD and marijuana – is one of the most heavily regulated ones in the business world, and compliance matters can be some of the most difficult. In the CBD space, for example, the 2018 Farm Bill brought new opportunities for hemp as an agricultural commodity and new rules as individual states create their own hemp programs. Full Velocity Consulting offers compliance experts who are knowledgeable in a variety of regulatory regimes related to cannabis, including new regulations and laws relating to hemp/CBD and marijuana businesses. Our experts can provide guidance for all stages of the business cycle, benefiting mature operations and start-ups equally by ensuring all are compliant with the latest laws and requirements affecting today’s fast-changing hemp and marijuana industries.

Additional Questions

Full Velocity is owned and run by entrepreneurs and we are very familiar with cash flow issues that start ups and emerging companies have. As a result, we are able to provide a few different methods for compensating us for our services.

First, we offer traditional hourly billing for our services. This method is preferable for some clients because they can control how much or how little they are charged by controlling how much work they send to us.

Second, we offer billing based off a monthly retainer. This method is preferable for some clients because they can budget a specific amount per month for our services.

Third, for some projects we offer a fixed fee amount for the entire project.

Finally, in some cases we are willing to discuss alternative billing arrangements including being compensated purely in equity, as opposed to in cash. These arrangements are discussed on a case by case basis and need to be reviewed carefully by all parties to make sure the arrangement is fair for everyone involved.
